Even when times are tough we need arts in our lives. Many people have found themselves relying on the arts to pass the time and stay sane during the pandemic. We wholeheartedly support New Rep Theater and all of the wonderful programming they are bringing to us! Read on to find out all of the details:

New RepDue to the effects of COVID-19, New Rep cancelled the remaining two shows of our 2019-2020 season, as well as our touring productions and our annual gala. We are hopeful that we will be able to proceed somewhat normally with our 2020/2021 season beginning in September, but are monitoring the situation closely and making adjustments as necessary.

In the meantime, we’re creating some great digital content for our audiences to enjoy! Every Sunday at 2:00pm, Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt hosts a live panel with artists to discuss theatre before, during, and after COVID-19. This streams for free on our Facebook page, so be sure to check us out! You can also check out two of the videos here and here. We’re also offering the Quarantine Creatives Story Project – members of the community are asked to describe a story to us of something that has happened during the quarantine. This story is then sent to a local playwright to be converted into a script, and then to actors to be performed and recorded. Anyone interested in submitting their story to this project should please email jaclyndentino@newrep.org.

Those who wish to support the theater may do so by purchasing a gift card (valid for 7 years towards any New Rep purchase), or by making a donation to our COVID-19 Relief Fund. Subscriptions for the 20/21 season are also on sale. To learn more, please contact our box office at tickets@newrep.org or 617-923-8487.

Inspired? Us too! Thanks for being a community rock star New Rep Theater!
