Wayne Ong

Wayne Ong began dance at the age of 17 in high school, where he fell in love with the discipline. He danced at a pre-professional level with the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company while serving as a military conscript in Singapore. He then enrolled in the Connecticut College Dance Department where he graduated with a double major in Biochemistry and Dance, training in the disciplines of ballet and modern as well as dabbling in a variety of styles including Hip Hop and Jazz.

Learning new dance vocabulary and sharing it has always been a passion of Wayne’s. He has had experience choreographing as well as teaching movement workshops for young dancers and non-dancers alike. Wayne is happy to be with Ballroom in Boston and hopes to continue sharing the joy of dance with everyone.
